Utica, NY (WIBX) - -  Mitt Romney rolled to convincing victories in Central New York and across the Empire State in Tuesday's Republican presidential primary.

The former Massachusetts Governor registered victories in five Northeastern states to take a commanding lead in the GOP delegate count.

In New York, Romney led his nearest opponent, Texas Representative Ron Paul, by 46 percentage points.

He also dominated the races in all six Central New York counties.

In Oneida County, Romney received nearly 58% of the vote.
