Despite playing without reigning MVP Derrick Rose, the Chicago Bulls extracted a bit of payback for Sunday's loss in New York. Richard Hamilton scored 20 and Luol Deng added 19 as the Bulls beat the Knicks 98-86 at United Center on Tuesday.

Carmelo Anthony led New York with 29 points and J.R. Smith added 14. Tyson Chandler recorded a double-double with ten points and 15 boards.

Rose appeared to roll his ankle in Sunday's thriller at Madison Square Garden, his first game back after missing the previous 12 with a groin injury.

The loss drops the Knicks back into the eighth and final playoff spot in the East, one game behind 76ers for seventh, and just one game ahead of the Bucks, who is on the outside looking in.

New York visits Milwaukee Wednesday night.
