Route 49 Accident: Traffic Being Diverted To East Dominick Street and River Road

Marcy, NY (WIBX) – Route 49 Eastbound is shut down from Route 825, at the Griffiss exit, all the way to the Oriskany Exit. Motorists are being diverted to other nearby routes.
At least two cars are overturned. WIBX’s Gino Geruntino is on scene and says that the accident appears to be quite bad. There are no specific reports indicating injuries at this time. However, New York State Police and rescue crews are at the site. Troopers are directing all traffic away and are not answering many questions at this time.
