An incredible video of a runaway golf cart/utility cart at Cowboys Stadium (AT&T Stadium in Dallas) that trampled some coaches and reporters is making the rounds on the internet once again (video below).

A couple important things to note about this, especially if you watching it for the first time:

  • Based on when the video was uploaded to YouTube, this occurred back in 2011. The post says it followed the Texas 5-A High School Championship Game.
  • You'll hear in the video a reference to Coach Amendola. Turns out, one of the people run over is the coach of NFL wide receiver Danny Amendola.
  • The Amendola's ultimately filed a $1,000,000 lawsuit in 2013 seeking damages. The outcome of the suit or settlement is not known as of this posting.
  • Finally, if you watch through the end of the video, you'll see this was a complete accident. In other words, this wasn't hijacked by a drunk fan who was trying to run people down. It seems that some equipment, possibly end zone markers, fell onto the gas pedal and it just went.
