Utica, NY (WIBX) - Drivers beware. The New York State Department of Transportation has teamed up with State Police to promote safe driving habits in Oneida County.

Patrols are increasing in a four-mile stretch this summer on Route 12B in New Hartford and Kirkland.

State Police define an aggressive driver as "anyone who operates a motor vehicle in a selfish, bold, or pushy manner" without the regard for the safety of others on the road.

Also helping to reinforce this campaign are the Oneida County Sheriff's Office and the Towns of New Hartford and Kirkland.
