The St. Louis Rams received confirmation for terrible news on Sunday night, quarterback Sam Bradford has been lost for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.

Bradford suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of the Rams' 30-15 loss to the Panthers on Sunday as he was scrambling out of bounds. A Carolina defender have Bradford a shove - nothing that appeared dirty - and the Oklahoma product came down awkwardly on the knee.

The Rams were off to a 3-4 start this season, behind Bradford's 1,687 passing yards, 14 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Kellen Clemons is the team's backup and came off the bench for the remainder of the game following Bradford's injury.
