Sawed-Off Shot Gun Found In MVCC Dorm Room

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police arrested a teenager in an MVCC dorm room over the weekend. According to officials, 18 year old Deandre Young of White Plains is facing a felony charge for Criminal Possession of a Weapon after officers found a 20-gauge sawed-off Mossberg shot gun in his door room.

MVCC peace officers, following up on a smoking complaint, found the weapon that law enforcement officials say had a defaced serial number. Young will answer the third degree felony charge at a later date in Utica City Court. The incident happened around 1:55 a.m. on Sunday morning.
