Schneiderman Settles With Apple In E-Book Price Fixing Case

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has announced a settlement with Apple over a price-fixing conspiracy.

A federal court in New York found that Apple raised the prices of E-books sold to consumers in New York and throughout the country

The settlement agreement must be approved by the court.

Schneiderman says the agreement could result in payments to consumers of up to $400 million..

He says the settlement proves that even the biggest, most powerful companies in the world must play by the same rules as everyone else.
