Schneiderman Warns Of Tax Prep Scams

As April 15th inches closer, State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is getting the word out on how to avoid tax-preparation scams.
Schneiderman says residents should always use recognizable and established companies and check any tax preparer’s qualifications and history through the Better Business Bureau.
Anyone who thinks they’ve been taken advantage of by tax preparers are urged to call the AG’s office.
