Town of Marcy, NY (WIBX) - Law enforcement officials are reporting a "Property Damage Accident" involving a school bus in the Town of Marcy. According to the reports the accident happened this afternoon at approximately 4:05 on Stage Road. Officials are saying there are no reports of any injuries. Maynard Fire Department Captain Steve Crane said there were about 10 kids on the bus when the accident happened. Crane said a pick up truck was backing out of a driveway when it crashed into the school bus that was stopped to unload the students.  He said the students on the bus were coming from Marcy Elementary in the Whitesboro School District. The students were picked up by their parents at the scene according to Crane. Officials with the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, who are investigating the crash, have not released their findings at the time of this update.

Another report coming from Birnie Bus in Utica involves another bus accident on Oneida Street in South Utica. There were no injuries reported in that crash. It is unclear if the inclement weather contributed to both accidents.

Also, the Utica Police Patrol Division investigated a two bus crash on January 4th. In that incident officials say 27-year old Andre Kimbell of Utica was operating a 2002 yellow Birnie school bus on Turner Street in Utica around 9:09 AM to head back to the garage. According to the report Kimbell was driving too fast for the road conditions--lost it, and slid into another Birnie tour bus being operated by 53-year Jack Roux of Taberg. Two passengers in the tour bus were taken to local hospitals with injuries. Kimbell was issued a ticket for causing the accident due to his unsafe speed. Police had to close both East and West bound lanes on Route 5 S to clear up the accident.
