A school bus driver at Morrisville-Eaton Central School has been cleared of charges after an incident where a six-year old student got caught in the bus doors.

School officials say on Friday 61 year old Douglas Kimball became distracted by other students while making the stop, catching the student's backpack between the doors.

Kimball noticed the child after moving about 100 feet.

The child received a bruise and a scrape but was otherwise unharmed.

Kimball immediately notified the school district and was suspended while police investigated the incident.

Through reviews of the bus's video camera, interviews and statements provided by Kimball, the child's family and district officials, Kimball was found to not have broke any NYS laws, meaning no charges will be filed against him.
