New York, NY (WIBX) - Saying it's frustrating enough paying those airline baggage fees, New York Senator Chuck Schumer wants to make sure airlines give the money back to passengers when luggage is late.

Schumer says he's written a letter to major airlines, warning them if they do not reimburse for late luggage, he'll introduce a bill to make them do so.

New regulations set to take effect in August require airlines to reimburse passengers for baggage fees only if they are never returned, but as Schumer points out, the new rules don't cover bags that arrive late.
