Schumer Fights For Drug Addicted Babies

New York, NY (WIBX) - -  New York Senator Charles Schumer wants action taken after hearing about statistics that show a rise in babies born addicted to prescription drugs.

Schumer is calling on the Federal Drug Administration to change drug labels to clearly warn pregnant women of the dangers of painkillers.

He says the number of drug addicted babies born has nearly tripled in the past decade.

Schumer's also calling on the FDA to create more awareness.
