New York, NY (WIBX) - New York Senator Charles Schumer says two airlines have agreed end to extra fees charged for families who want to sit together.

Schumer says Virgin America Airlines and JetBlue have both agreed to end the practice.

Schumer called for change after learning that children had been separated from their parents if the adults didn't pay extra money for preferred window seating.

He also wants airlines and ticket brokers to be required to clearly disclose premium fees if they choose to collect them.
