Schumer To Be Chairman Of Presidential Inauguration

Washington, DC (WIBX) - New York Senator, Charles "Chuck" Schumer is celebrating a historic appointment. The senior senator was just chosen as the chairman of next year's presidential inauguration.

The decision was made today in congress. Officials say his role will be to organize the January 21st event at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC. Although the presidential inauguration is typically held on January 20th, that date falls on a Sunday next year and had to be moved to take place the following date instead.
