Senator Charles Schumer is the latest elected official to visit the flood-ravaged area.

Schumer was in Oneida, where he met with local officials and toured the flood damaged city.

He assured local residedents that federal aid is on the way to help homeowners and businesses rebuild.

Schumer also announced his push for FEMA to approve the state's request for an emergency declaration.

Nearly 200 homes in Oneida sustained flood damage.
