Life expectancy has improved so quickly over the past century that scientists say, age 72 is the new 30.  According to the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Germany, people are living longer and the increase has been so rapid that a person in his or her early 70's would be compared to someone in the early 1800's at the age of 30.  The report also referred to the complications longer life expectancy creates when it comes to the economy, as we attempt to figure out how to take care of an aging population.
