Search For Missing Woman Continues In The Adirondacks

Inlet, NY (WIBX) – The search for a missing Dewitt woman in the Moose River Plains area of the Adirondacks  has entered its second day.

Authorities say a missing person alert for 44-year old Kerry Young was issued on Monday evening after Town of Inlet Police found her vehicle parked on the entrance road to the Limekiln Lake Campground.

State Department of Environmental Conservation Forest Rangers, members of the State Police, Inlet Police and Fire Departments, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of Webb Police are conducting the search, along with more than 50 volunteers.

A State Police helicopter has joined today’s search.
