Search Warrant Leads To Arrest, Multiple Drug Charges
Utica, NY (WIBX) - Following an investigation into the sale and distribution of narcotics, Utica police say they arrested 22-year-old Walter Phillips. After executing a search warrant at 1618 West Street yesterday, officials say they discovered a quantity of cocaine, scales, drug packaging material, and money.
Phillips is facing the following charges:
- Criminal Possession of a controlled substance 7th-A misdemeanor
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th -C felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd- B felony
- 2 counts of Criminal Use of drug paraphernalia 2nd- A misdemeanor
Officials say the suspect was under house arrest at the time the warrant was executed.
