Sens. Griffo, Seward Receive Assignments

Albany, NY (WIBX) - 47th District state Senator Joe Griffo has been selected as the new Chair of the Senate Banks Committee.

Griffo says he's looking forward to working with his colleagues on both sides of the aisle to address the many banking issues and concerns New Yorkers face daily.

Meanwhile, Senator Jim Seward, who represents the 51 District in Herkimer County, was named Chairman of the Senate Insurance Committe, a post he previously held from 1999 through 2008.

Seward will also serve on the Agriculture, Education, Finance, Health and Mental Health and Rules Committees.
