Senator James Seward says the state legislature is on track to pass an on-time budget for the third straight year.

Seward says it would be the earliest state budget in more than 30 years and one that focuses on job creation, education aid for our neediest schools and tax relief for middle class families.

He says the senate version of the budget restores $120 million in cuts to the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities.

Seward says it also increases education aid by $415 million over the governor's proposal.

The state budget deadline is April 1st.
