Utica, NY (WIBX) - A registered level three sex offender who is currently on NYS parole, is facing felony assault charges for allegedly burning his victim with boiling water. Utica police say 26-year-old Ronald Fuentes poured boiling water on the male victim during an argument at a home on Dudley Avenue.

The victim told police that Fuentes poured a second pot of boiling water on him, after he fell to the ground. He was taken to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center for treatment and later transported to Upstate Medical University of Syracuse Burn Unit. The victim suffered second and third degree burns to his back and abdomen.
