A Sherburne man was arrested after he was allegedly found to be manufacturing methamphetamine along the banks of the Chenango River in Sherburne.

35-year old Robert Collins is charged with unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office says Collins was cooking meth using the "one pot" method.

Authorities seized materials used to make meth, along with laboratory equipment.  The equipment and hazardous materials were removed from the river bank by the New York State Police CCSERT team.
