Sheriff’s Transport Van Involved In Crash

Utica, NY (WIBX) – An Oneida County Sheriff’s Office transport van was involved in an accident on Genesee Street in Utica on Thursday
Sheriff Rob Maciol says the van was transporting ten inmates to County Court when it was rear-ended by a car driven by Thomas Trace of Marcy.
The driver of the van, Deputy Robert Wright, was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center with neck injuries.
Three inmates were treated for injuries as well.
Trace was ticketed for following too closely
