Sherrill Teen Injured In Verona Crash

Verona, NY (WIBX) - A Sherrill teen was injured in an accident at the intersection of Beacon Light and Snyder Roads in the Town of Verona.

Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies say 18-year old Elaine Slaven tried to avoid a van that had pulled out in front of her, lost control of her vehicle and hit a group of trees.

The driver of the van then fled the scene.

Slaven's passenger, 16-year old Emily Dugan, suffered a broken arm.

Slaven and another passenger were not injured.

Deputies say all three teens were wearing their seatbelts.

No tickets were issued.
