A Sherrill woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash on Sutliff Road in the Town of Whitestown.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 25-year old Keisha Knochel lost control of her SUV and struck several trees.

Members of the Stanwix and Oriskany Fire Departments worked for over 40 minutes to free Knochel from the vehicle.

She was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries.

Deputies say unsafe speed and a slippery road appear to be contributing factors in the crash.

The highway was closed for over two hours as a result of the accident.
