ShoBox Returns to TSRC for IBHOF Induction Weekend

As the village of Canastota prepares to host some of the greatest fighters in boxing history next month, you'll be able to take in some LIVE boxing action to coincide with the annual International Boxing Hall of Fame induction ceremonies.

Turning Stone Resort Casino is hosting Showtime's 'ShoBox: The New Generation' - on Friday night June 9, 2017 - in the Event Center featuring a pair of undefeated up-and-comers. Middleweights Regis Prograis (19-0, 16 KOs) puts his NABF title on the line against Joel Diaz Jr. (23-0, 19 KOs) in the nationally-televised 10-round main event.

The fight card includes Steve Rolls (15-0, 9 KOs) vs. Demond ''D'Bestatit'' Nicholson (17-1-1, 6KOs).

The televised fights will air LIVE on Showtime beginning at 10:30 p.m. Preliminary bouts begin at 7:30 p.m. A release from Turning Stone says ringside tickets ringside tickets are available for $65 and can be purchased by calling the Turning Stone Box Office or Ticketmaster.

IBHOF induction weekend activities include a golf tournament, ringside lectures, a 5k run, autograph card show, parade and the induction ceremonies. This year's class features boxers Evander 'The Real Deal' Holyfield, 'The Baby Faced Assasin' Marco Antonio Berrera, 'Mi Vida Loca' Johnny Tapia, ring announce Jimmy Lennon Sr. and trainer Johnny Lewis, among others.
