Shotgun, Drugs Found On Suspects Following Dispute At Chatter Box
Utica, NY (WIBX) – A fight at the Chatter Box on Genesee street in Utica led to the arrest of a suspect on drug charges following a traffic stop, and police say one of the four occupants was in possession of a shotgun. Utica Police say the arrest comes after responding to the establishment several times for reports of a fight. Officials say witnesses were uncooperative in their investigation, only telling police that a white truck was involved. Following the traffic stop of the suspected vehicle, that according to police drove by the establishment during their investigation, the driver, 19-year-old Ruvim Mikhalevich was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and traffic violations.
No charges were filed against the suspect with the shotgun due to lack of evidence. Officials say because witnesses were uncooperative, there is no evidence of a crime committed related to the shotgun. However, anyone with information on the case is asked to call UPD a7 (315) 223-3584.
