One New York legislator is proposing different gun laws for the different areas of New York state.

Looking to ultimately eliminate the NY SAFE Act, Assemblyman Marc Butler says that, if minimum wage legislation takes into account the inherent differences between New York City and the rest of the state, then other legislative subjects - specifically gun laws -  should be handled differently as well.
