Should Marijuana Penalties Be Lessened?
Marcy, NY (WIBX) - New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says he wants to lower penalties for those caught with 25 grams or less of marijuana.
Currently the offense is considered a Class B misdemeanor. The Governor wants it lowered to a violation to protect young people whom, he says, make dumb mistakes regarding drugs and end up with permanent stains on their records.
