A New York legislator is proposing mandatory parenting workshops for elementary school children.

A total of twelve workshops would be offered, and parents of students in grades one through six would have to take four of them in order for their children to graduate to the seventh grade.

Employers would also be required to give parents one day off each year so that they could attend the classes?
