Should Students Be Allowed To Bring Sugary Drinks To School?

breyeschow, Flickr

A student in the Albany area was told that a juice box was not an appropriate “healthy” snack for lunch because of its high sugar contact and the student was prohibited from drinking it in class.

Do you support the teacher’s right to enforce a rule that only “healthy” snacks be brought to class, and the teacher’s authority on what constitutes a “healthy” snack, or has the teacher gone too far?
