Should the NAACP’s Spokane Chapter Head Have Stepped Down?

The head of the NAACP in Spokane, Washington has stepped down after her racial identity was called into question.

Rachel Dolezal, by most accounts, is "white," but has allegedly presented herself as "black" on more than one occasion.

While some acknowledge that there is no requirement for the head of an NAACP chapter to belong to any minority group, many people feel that the fact that she lied about her race presents a problem.
