Sidewalk Art Contest

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Looking for ways to keep your kids occupied this summer?

Executive Anthony Picente is announcing the 3rd Annual Oneida County Sidewalk Art Contest to take place the week of July 11th.

Kids ages 5-18 will have the chance to compete with other kids their age at local municipalities and youth agencies across the county to express their artistic talent with sidewalk chalk.

"It's an event you walk into with a smile on your face and walk away with an even bigger smile on your face," Oneida County Youth Bureau Director Bob Roth said. "It's a neat event and a fantastic opportunity for our youth to experience one of the jewels of Oneida County, Munsin-Williams-Proctor Art Institute."

Winners with the best artwork will be chosen from each location to compete in the finals at Munsin Williams on July 21st.

The rain date is scheduled for Friday, July 22nd.

All finalists receive a free tour of the institution.
