An Oneida County native attending Siena College is facing Federal charges for possessing and transporting Child Porn.

Syracuse.com reports, 20-Year-Old Kyle Roache of Vernon could face as many years in prison if convicted of his charges. The article states,

Special Agent David Frehulfer of the FBI detailed the investigation in an affadavit:

According to Frehulfer, agents tracked down Roache after receiving tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a Dropbox account thought to be used for trading child porn. Dropbox is a cloud computing service.

Roache told investigators in an affidavit that he also used anonymous messaging apps 'Kik' and 'Omegele' to receive Child Porn. On September 8th Roache appeared before Federal Judge Therese Wiley Dancks and as a result was released to house arrest. He is not permitted to leave his home or have any contact with minors. He is also not allowed to have access to the internet or computers.
