Six Charges Dismissed Against Bruce Leonard [VIDEO]

The father of Word of Life Church beating victims Lucas and Christoper Leonard was in Oneida County Court today.

At the request of District Attorney Scott McNamara, Judge Michael Dwyer dropped six charges against Bruce Leonard -- one count of second-degree murder and five kidnapping charges.

Those are the same charges that were dismissed against defendant Sarah Ferguson.

McNamara said because the Irwin's and Morey's exercised control over the Leonard family, there was insufficient evidence to support the charges.

Leonard is still facing charges including second-degree murder, manslaughter and assault.

Once again, McNamara told the judge his office is ready to go to trial in the case.

Leonard will be back in court for a hearing on May 12th.
