Bridgewater, NY (WIBX) - New York Custom Processing recently received a Community Development Block Grant, helping the company expand and add jobs.

According to Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, the grant, provided by the Office of Community Renewal, is worth $210,000.

The money will be used by New York Custom Processing to purchase equipment for their new slaughterhouse in Bridgewater and hire 14 employees.

Co-owner Joe Rocco says he hopes to grow the workforce to 20 or 25 over the next couple of years.

Oneida County officials worked with Mohawk Valley EDGE to secure the funds.
