Small Fire At Oneida Herkimer Solid Waste Authority

Utica, NY (WIBX) – Cardboard at the feed of a conveyor belt caught fire Tuesday morning at the Oneida Herkimer Solid Waste Authority’s Leland Ave location in Utica.
Executive Director William Rabbia says the fire was small and quickly extinguished with the help of the building’s fire suppression system.
Utica fire crews were also called to the scene.
No one was injured, Rabbia said.
The plant was back up and running shortly after, he said.
