MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — Parts of Vermont are in for a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for mixed precipitation from Monday evening through Tuesday night for central, eastern and northern Vermont.

The forecast calls for 2 to 6 inches of heavy wet snow and sleet along with some ice.

Much of the precipitation will occur Monday night into Tuesday morning.
