The Syracuse Orange took everything Wisconsin had to offer but it still wasn't enough to knock off the East Region No.1-seed as the Orange beat the Badgers 64-63 to advance to the Elite 8.

Despite fourth-seeded Wisconsin's incredible 3-point onslaught (14-27), the Orange played a smart, efficient game, with balanced scoring.

C.J. Fair had 15 points and seven rebounds, Scoop Jardine added 14 points and Brandon Triche netted 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting.

As a team, Syracuse was 55-percent from the field and limited their 3-point attempts (5-of-9) to also shoot 55 percent from beyond arc.

The Badgers, meanwhile, were unstoppable from long-range during one stretch in the second half, hitting six-straight 3-balls. At one point, Wisconsin was shooting 13-of-21 from 3-point-range but when you live by the three, you can die by it too - the Badgers made just one of their final six 3-point attempts.

Wisconsin's final 3-point attempt came in the team's final possession, trailing by just one. After Syracuse senior Kris Joseph missed the front end of a one-and-one, the Badgers had a chance with 15-seconds to play. But, the Orange pressured Jordan Taylor into a very deep, off balance shot and a last second rebound-shot was no good.

'Cuse (34-2) will now face East Region No. 2 Ohio State on Saturday.
