Some Baltimore Ravens fans - including some women - wore their Ray Rice jerseys to Thursday night's home game against the rival Pittsburgh Steelers.

Surprising to many given the nature of Rice's behavior, coupled with an urgent effort to spread awareness about the seriousness of domestic violence.

One fan edited her Rice jersey to say 'B. Nice'.

This week, the former Ravens running back was released by the team then suspended by the NFL for punching out his then-fiancee during an argument in an Atlantic City casino elevator in February.

Similar to the campaign the New England Patriots started after the Aaron Hernandez story broke, the Ravens announced an exchange program where fans were allowed to trade-in their Rice jerseys for another player. I also heard some area eateries where doing their own exchanges - free pizzeria and food certificates were the incentives that were purportedly offered.

Despite a flood of negative attention and questions from the media - who loaded the team's locker room this week - the Ravens went on to defeat the Steelers 26-6.
