According to one formal observer of gas prices, the cost to fill up is the lowest it has been in about a dozen years.GasBuddy says that, as of this posting, there are nine states with the lowest gas prices they have since since the early part of 2004.

Those states are:

  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Kansas
  • Michigan
  • Minnesota
  • North Dakota
  • Oklahoma
  • Ohio
  • Wisconsin

MetroSource quotes a senior petroleum analyst with GasBuddy who says that gas prices int hose states may dip below $1.00 a gallon before prices again start to rise.
