Speed, Slippery Conditions Contributed to Rollover in Rome
Speed and slippery conditions are being partially blamed for a rollover accident near Delta Dam in Rome.
Police say 27-year old Amanda E. Velzis of Westernville lost control of her Jeep while driving on State Route 46 in Rome, New York. Her vehicle overturned into a ditch and then caught fire.
Velzis was helped by two passing motorists. Velzis was brought to the hospital for evaluation.
Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Rome Fire Department, New York State Police, and the Lake Delta Fire Department.
