Are you already itching to take care of your lawn and dive deep into spring cleanup fever? The City of Utica’s Department of Public Works will begin the Annual Spring Green Waste Pick-Up officially on April 17th.

Starting Monday April 17th, residents can place non-containerized green waste at the curb. These items include grass clippings, leaves, weeds, flowers and bundled limbs and branches. These limbs and branches can be no longer than 4’, and under 50 lbs.

CAUTION- Do not put the waste out for collection before April 17th. If you do, you are subject to tickets, and possible fines.

Items not allowed include shrubs, stumps, logs and trees. If you have these waste items, feel free to call Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority at 315-731-0238 to schedule a pickup. They will give you all the details, and fees associated with the pickup.
