“Stamp Out Hunger” 20th Anniversary

Utica, NY (WIBX) - For twenty years the United Way and National Association of Letter Carriers have been carrying a message that they wish they did not have to deliver.  More than 49-million Americans live in hunger.

You can help this Saturday, May 12, 2012 though, when mail carriers will pick up donations of non-perishable food left at mailboxes.

The "Stamp Out Hunger"  food drive, held annually on the second Saturday in May, is now the nation's largest single-day food drive, resulting in donations of more than 70 million pounds of food.
