Standoff In Oneida Ends Peacefully

Kristine Bellino, WIBX

A standoff in the City of Oneida ended peacefully early Friday morning.

Oneida Police were called to a house on the 200 block of Williams Street on Thursday night.

They say a man reported as intoxicated and suicidal was inside the house with access to a shotgun and rifles.

After unsuccessful attempts to get the man to come out of the house, the Madison County Emergency Response Team entered the home and took the man into custody without incident.

The man was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.
