Giancarlo Stanton smacked a two-run homer in his first Yankees at bat and clubbed another in last at bat of the day to help the Pinstripes take a 6-1 win in Toronto on Opening Day.

Stanton also added an RBI-double, ending the day 3-5 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Aaron Hicks and Aaron Judge added two hits apiece.

It was plenty for starter Luis Severino, who allowed just one hit and three walks over 5 and 2/3 innings while striking out seven.

Kevin Pillar hit a solo homer in the eighth off Dellin Betances to account for the Blue Jays' lone run.

The four-game series continues Friday with Masahiro Tanaka opposing Toronto's Aaron Sanchez.
