The state Assembly has passed a budget that includes an increase in aid and incentives to municipalities funding and accelerates the state takeover of local Medicaid growth.

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi says the increase in AIM funding is the first in five years and the Mohawk Valley would seea total increase of $2.8 million.

Brindisi says the proposal also provides $2.1 million to support the Griffiss Local Development Corporation.
