The New York State Assembly's 2014-2015 budget includes a $1.1 billion education aid increase.

That's the largest increase of state aid to education in six years.

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi says the proposal includes $367 million for Gap Elimination Adjustment restoration.

The assembly's proposal also earmarks $100 million in universal, full day Pre-K funding for high-need districts.
