Green Party candidate for State Comptroller Mark Dunlea make a campaign stop in Utica today.

He was a guest on WIBX's First News with Keeler Show.

Dunlea wants to divest state pension funds from fossil fuels as part of the effort to combat climate change. He says State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli has insisted on keeping pension funds in fossil fuels despite their poor performance in recent years.

Dunlea has also authored state legislation to require the state to move to 100 percent clean energy by 2030 and to stop any new fossil fuel projects.

He also supports full public campaign finance reform and a state single payer health care system.

Dunlea is a former Town Board member in Poestenkill in Rensselaer County,
